Since April 2007, all assured shorthold tenancy deposits received by landlords and letting agents must be protected by a Government authorised tenancy deposit protection scheme.
Hodders are members of the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) where your deposit will be registered at the point you move into your new home. The DPS is an independent body and ensures the deposit is protected during the tenancy, is returned promptly at the end where there is no dispute, and where a dispute exists is dealt with fairly and quickly by and independent adjudicator.
It’s easy to access your deposit via the DPS’ website. You just need your Deposit ID and Repayment ID handy.
Once you have accessed your deposit, you can:
- View the details of your deposit
- Update your contact details
- Request a repayment when you move out
- Access information on DPS process and procedure
